EVERETT – Bust out some flower power and help bring spring to Everett with the city’s annual Viva Color planting events.

Start the day off with a little digging and a lot of community spirit at Everett Parks & Recreation’s Viva Color volunteer planting events on Mukilteo Boulevard and in downtown Everett.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate. Gloves, safety vests, trowels, commemorative buttons and refreshments will be provided. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather.

Viva Color details:

Downtown Everett
8:30 a.m. Friday, May 16
Meet at the corner of Hewitt and Colby avenues

Mukilteo Blvd. planting beds
9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 31
Catch the free shuttle from View Ridge Plaza at the intersection of Olympic and Mukilteo boulevards and Dogwood Dr.
